We are currently hiring therapists who want to do meaningful work in a practice that prioritizes empathy, collaboration, and high-quality care. Joining with Empathy offers a
team-centered environment with strong administrative support, steady referrals,
and space to grow clinically.


At Joining with Empathy, you’ll find a collaborative team environment, steady referrals,
and flexible scheduling that support balance and sustainability. Our practice provides strong administrative and credentialing support, creating space for clinicians to focus on client care and develop groups or specialties they’re drawn to. Compensation is consistent and competitive.

Benefits

  • W-2 employment
  • Hourly compensation starting at $50/hour for LMSWs and LGPCs,  $60/hour for fully licensed clinicians (LCPCs and LCSW-Cs)
  • Employer-sponsored health insurance premium contributions

  • Two weeks of annual PTO for full-time employees

  • Free weekly supervision for pre-licensed clinicians
  • Annual CEU contribution ($300/year for full-time employees)

Who We’re Looking For

  • Licensed in Maryland as an LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, or LCSW-C
  • Committed to client-centered, culturally responsive care
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Available to work some evening hours (ideally 1–2 evenings per week)
  • Empathetic, grounded, and professional

Training & Growth

Internship Opportunities for Emerging Clinicians

Internships at Joining with Empathy are designed for advanced graduate-level clinicians seeking thoughtful, hands-on training in a supportive, trauma-informed group practice. This is an opportunity to deepen clinical skills while being part of a collaborative, inclusive team that values presence, curiosity, and genuine connection.

Interns at Joining with Empathy can expect...

  • A supportive, team-centered training environment
  • Weekly individual supervision with fully licensed clinicians
  • Ongoing consultation and collaboration within the practice
  • Experience providing therapy to teens and adults
  • Training grounded in trauma-informed, identity-affirming, and client-centered care

Our interns are carefully selected from graduate programs, including Loyola University, and are supported throughout the final stage of their clinical training. Supervision is consistent, engaged,
and focused on helping interns build confidence, clinical presence, and ethical practice.
