Jamal is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland who is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. He earned his Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Bowie State University and also holds a Master's degree in Applied Psychology from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Jamal completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy training, equipping him with evidence-based strategies to help couples strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate conflict more effectively.

Jamal works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, race-based trauma, men's issues, and emotional stress. His therapeutic approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and rooted in the belief that meaningful healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. Jamal is committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can build resilience, gain insight, and move toward lasting growth and meaningful change.

In his free time, Jamal enjoys being an active father with his 3 young children.
